Our Pastor

Reverend Derrick Myers is the third child born to Ray C. Myers Sr. and the late Marie D. Myers. A native of Wewahitchka, Florida, Pastor Myers grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Myers is the great-grandson of our founding Pastor, Rev. Ivory Binbow. Pastor Myers was baptized under the pastorate of Rev. Jesse R. O'Connor, the third pastor of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church. He was licensed and ordained as a minister of the gospel by Rev. Dr. Rhansyl Harris, the fourth pastor of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church.

He is the proud husband of Quinn Myers, and the proud father of four daughters, Niel, Natalie, Kay, and Demi 

Our pastor attended Mt. Healthy High School, Central State University, and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has aspirations to  obtain his Master and Doctorate degrees in biblical studies. Rev. Myers was a music teacher in the Dayton Public Schools district for four years. He has served as Minister of Music for several churches in Ohio. Prior to his pastoral appointment he was the Youth pastor at Quinn Chapel AME Church. Pastor Myers is a licensed Funeral Director and proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. 

Reverend Myers is dedicated to expanding the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ through Worship, Outreach, Fellowship, and Discipleship. While he is a gifted organist and classically trained pianist, his greatest passion and calling lies in teaching and preaching the Word of God.
